Nice to Meet You!

Mission

To provide families in Seattle with affordable, high-quality children’s clothing, toys, and gear by reselling gently used items and offering unique new products — all while fostering community, sustainability, and connection.

Vision

A thriving, welcoming neighborhood hub where families can find what they need for their children, know their purchases support ethical and sustainable practices, and feel part of a community that values both people and the planet.

Core Values

  • Sustainability – We believe in reducing waste, extending the life of quality goods, and promoting conscious choices that care for our environment.

  • Community – Our store is more than a shop; it’s a gathering place where families connect, children are welcome, and neighbors support one another.

  • Affordability & Quality – Every child deserves access to safe, durable, and well-loved items at a price that families can afford.

  • Integrity – We honor the trust families place in us by operating fairly, transparently, and responsibly, from purchasing to donating unbought items.

  • Family-Centered – As a family-run business, we understand the joys and challenges of raising children and aim to make the experience easier, more joyful, and more connected.

About Us

We’re Molly Reagan and Amilcar Alfaro, the owners of Second Act Kids. When we became parents, one of our favorite neighborhood spots was Kids on 45th—a beloved kids’ resale shop that made it easy (and fun) to find quality clothes and gear without breaking the bank. Like so many families, we were heartbroken when it closed during the pandemic.

Second Act Kids is our way of bringing that spirit back to Wallingford. Molly’s background in human rights and animal welfare and Amilcar’s 25 years in tech marketing may not sound like the typical path to running a children’s resale store—but together, we share a passion for community, sustainability, and helping families thrive.

As parents and neighbors ourselves, we’re proud to create a welcoming space where families can shop affordably, kids can play, and gently used items can find their “second act.”
