Part-Time Retail Sales Associate

Location: Wallingford, Seattle, WA
Pay: $23–$25 per hour, DOE
Hours: Part-time, 10–15 hours per week (weekday, weekend and occasional holidays required)

Second Act Kids is a locally owned children’s resale boutique in Seattle’s Wallingford neighborhood. We specialize in high-quality, gently used kids’ clothing, shoes, toys, and gear. We are committed to sustainability, affordability, and creating a welcoming community space for families.

Position Summary

We are seeking a friendly, reliable, and customer-focused Retail Sales Associate to join our small team. The ideal candidate is someone who loves working with families, values sustainability, and enjoys helping customers find just what they need.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

• Customer Service & Sales

  • Greet and assist customers in a warm and professional manner

  • Provide knowledgeable recommendations on sizing, styles, and product selection

  • Handle sales transactions accurately using our POS system

• Merchandising & Store Presentation

  • Maintain clean, organized, and inviting sales floor displays

  • Restock items and ensure merchandise is well-presented

  • Assist with tagging, pricing, and inventory management

• Community & Brand Representation

  • Share our mission of sustainability and quality resale with customers

  • Contribute to a positive, team-oriented store culture

  • Support store events and promotions when needed

• Operations & Safety

  • Follow opening and closing procedures

  • Maintain awareness of store safety and security practices

  • Perform light cleaning duties to keep the shop tidy and welcoming

Qualifications

• Prior retail, customer service, or boutique experience preferred

• Friendly, approachable, and enjoys engaging with families and children

• Detail-oriented, organized, and dependable

• Comfortable with point-of-sale systems and basic cash handling

• Able to lift up to 25 lbs and stand for extended periods

• Available for weekday and weekend shifts (required) as well as occasional holidays
